Kbb News - Wren Kitchens USA Opens its 15th Location following a $30m investment in the east coast of the United States that started the Wren Kitchens USA journey in 2020.
When the news first broke that Wren was looking to break into the US market, the business originally announced that it had plans to open locations in Milford and Newington (Connecticut) plus Levittown (New York).
However, within two short years those plans quickly expanded to include a further eight locations with the likes of Selden (New York), Wilkes-Barre (Pennsylvania), Lawrenceville (New Jersey), and Commack (New York) further expanding the UK kitchen brands' reach into the east coast of the United States.
With the latest Wren location in Union (New Jersey), the latest showroom marks Wren's 129thoverall showroom and number fifteen for Wren Kitchens USA.
Raf Klimek, Wren Kitchens manufacturing and logistics director previously said in 2022, upon announcing the continued expansion “We’ve brought a unique concept to the American kitchen market for the very first time and it’s proving successful...The Northeast coast is a prime location for Wren in terms of connectivity, making it the perfect platform to continue our exciting expansion plans.”
The new Wren Union (New Jersey) megastore features an an impressive 62 full-sized displays, which consist of kitchens, mudrooms and laundry rooms.
Wren Union showroom manager, Conor Maggs, commented: “We are excited to open our latest showroom, right here in Union. Our team is ready to become a real part of the Union community and is eager to help customers bring their vision to life with expert guidance and practical solutions. Whether you’re just starting to dream about your kitchen remodel or have your plans in place, we’re here to support you every step of the way.”
Wren Kitchens USA tie-in with Home Depot
In addition to opening its own megastores, Wren has also begun opening showrooms within The Home Depot stores in the USA which are branded as Wren Kitchens Studio's.
So far Wren USA has opened five Wren Kitchens Studio's, in Home Depot Stamford (Connecticut), Home Depot Norwalk (Connecticut), Home Depot Fairfield (Connecticut), Home Depot Derby (Connecticut) and Home Depot Trumbull, also in Connecticut.
With Wren collaborating with such an American kbb industry giant as Home Depot is quite a shrewd move for Wren as the US kitchen market is rife with opportunity, being likened to how the UK market was back in the lates 90's and early 2000's.
With a vast gulf between the big DIY sheds (like Home Depot) offering flat pack kitchens and smaller independents at the town, city and state level, offering more carpentry focused kitchens, the US is very polarised with a vast gulf between the two offerings, thus providing a new growing market to consider, when UK and European kitchen markets are in the mature stages, with high competition and little growth.
