Neue Alno GmbH – the company that was formed through the acquisition of Alno AG assets by investor RiverRock last year has relaunched the Alno kitchen brand into the UK market.
The company will serve the UK market directly from its 82,000sq m factory in Pfullendorf, Germany with a dedicated UK service team, it said.
Alno UK, the UK division of former company Alno AG, fell into administration in September last year after its parent company suspended production, causing supply issues. Neue Alno currently employs 320 staff.
The company said it is “now a single brand manufacturer aiming at the upper-middle sector of the market”.
The german kitchens brand has claimed its new 2019 range impresses with a truly great selection: from the best comes only the finest.
It will take some time for Alno to rebuild trust given the troubles it has gone through. When you are parting with £20k for a new kitchen it stands to reason that you want your kitchen company to still be in business come delivery time!
When Andreas Sandmann, the new managing director said that “now there is certainty” the company can start operations, adding that the first new kitchens are expected to be delivered in the first quarter of this year it was met with some skepticism so given we are now coming to the end of 2018 hopefully we wont see that the new/Neue Alno continues to not deliver on its promises.
