Omega Plc has appointed two creative agencies – Midlands-based Cogent and Leeds-based Engage – as part of its ongoing expansion plans.
Cogent – which has been appointed as the company’s lead creative and strategic agency for its “very British collection” of brands – will be responsible for a seven-figure budget for Sheraton, Mackintosh, Chippendale and English Rose, as well as Omega Contracts.
Engage – who also counts British Ceramic Tile among its client base – will manage Omega’s digital portfolio, and will be designing a new website as well as creating a social media marketing strategy alongside SEO and pay-per-click – PPC – support.
SEO or, Search Engine Optimisation and PPC or Pay-Per-Click are the two central components of digital marketing where SEO centres more on organic and natural Google results and PPC is the paid for adverts at the top of the search results for a given search term such as 'fitted kitchens'.
“A significant investment in marketing and communications is the next crucial step in our expansion plans as we look to energetically grow our market share,” said Omega Plc marketing head Chris Blackham.
“Earlier this year we revealed details of our £20m investment and expansion plans, which will increase production capacity to over £125m over the next two years,” he added. “We were looking for an agency who could give us a step change in our marketing efforts and Cogent demonstrated they were the right team to lead us on the journey.
“We are also planning to harness the power of digital technologies for the benefit of our customers and consumers with Engage, and like all our operations will be pursuing a programme marketing of excellence.”
