Kbb News - The luxury german kitchens brand from Schuller, next125 have showcased one of their newest metallic ranges which renowned architect Francis Kéré has used in a visual inspiration fusing art and next125.
The visual concept called “The Fireplace” uses the Bronze Tinted Mirror door from next125 and even without the stunning and ingenious wood construction made of hundreds of natural and freely connected spruce trunks, the next125 Bronze Tinted Mirror style is truly magnificent.
Consumers and interior designers have been crying out for truly mirrored and metallic surfaces for years and Schuller has finally cracked it and delivered something that is both visually stunning but also practical and usable.
But just as Tesla has done with bringing a stainless steel exoskeleton into the car world, (with its love / hate marmite Cybertruck), Schuller has had to engineer the bronze metallic mirrored surface to overcome numerous challenges of putting such a material and surface in an everyday setting such as a kitchen.
From creating uniformity to each door, drawer and panel to engineering longevity and ease of use, Schuller have delivered a formidable door front and collaborating with German/African architect Francis Kéré to put this very stylish door front and allow it to be visualised into what Francis Kéré has achieved will no doubt do wonders for the Bronze Mirror style as the next125 campaign continues to gather admiration.
next125 designer Andrew Dillon of Studio5 Home Interiors says he when he first saw the next125 Bronze Mirror he knew it would be a winner with clients.
Andrew said "What Schuller has achieved with the next125 Bronze Mirror is simply stunning and the awareness campaign with architect Francis Kéré not only shows off the fantastic kitchen style that it is, but with Francis Kéré's artistic vision, the concept art piece bears the unmistakable signature of his African roots. Its a great collaboration and a lot of our client's are wanting to implement the Bronze Mirror into their homes."
Born in Burkina Faso in 1965, Diébédo Francis Kéré came to Germany on a scholarship, where he began studying architecture. He was awarded the prestigious Aga Khan Prize for his first project, a primary school in his home village, which he realised while still a student. He then went on to work with clients all over the world before he took up a professorship at the Technical University of Munich in 2017.
"Working with next125 on The Fireplace immediately took me back to my childhood. I travelled from Herrieden in Bavaria to Gando in Burkina Faso to my roots, so to speak." - FRANCIS KERE
