Omega aims for growth in contracts market

British Kitchen manufacturer Omega is aiming to build on its recent successes in the contracts market and has made a significant investment in to its service and support structure which it hopes will help it achieve growth in contracts market over the coming years.

The business, which celebrated 25 years of operation in 2021 has made significant investments into its business over the years to shore up its operations.

In their last financials, Omega has reported a 22 per cent increase in sales to £60.2 for 2022.

Growth in Contracts Market

The contracts market has taken a hit with the recent cost of living increases pushing up sector costs amid a slow down in the property market, helped in part by the recent, disastrous Lizz Truss mini budget and the rise in borrowing costs hitting the sector.

However, whilst the contracts market has had a pause, the residential kitchens sector has taken a solid tumble with many homeowners waiting to see what happens to interest rates and how the property market will fair.

That Omega has signalled its desire to grow the contracts market may be a shrewd move, as the contracts market (buoyed by more build to rent developments) may bounce back quicker than the residential kitchens market. Time will tell.

Commenting on the news, Omega sales director John Cahill said: “Excellence in customer service is what achieves long term customer relationships.  I am proud of the investment and infrastructure we have in place.”

“Omega are industry leaders in aftercare service,” added Katy Snow, national head of contract operations, Omega. “This is demonstrated by the number of home developers we supply to who exclusively work with us.  Our aftercare service is integral to our contracts customers and one of the many reasons they continue to work with Omega.”

Speaking about its sustainable focus CEO Simon Barber said: “In 2018, Omega invested £20 million back into the business with a focus on our future sustainability and corporate social responsibility goals. We created a best-in-class manufacturing and support centre offering the best kitchens in the UK with an underlying foundation to achieve a brighter future for our people, partners, and the planet. We support UN Sustainable Development Goals which we have integrated into our business practice.”
