Whilst the Kitchen industry is facing a tough time on the whole, there are some UK kitchen businesses doing well at the moment.
It would seem that cheaper kitchen retailers and mid level firms are doing rather well at the moment whereas those involved in the commercial trade are largely being forced out of the market. So its always nice to see when some new kitchen showrooms spring up
First, over in east London is Jersey-based Paul Haslam, with its studio in a restored Victorian warehouse, Metropolitan Wharf. On display is a sample of the bespoke kitchens it makes in some fab bold shades and timber. Up in Manchester, beautiful kitchens can be had from Manchester Kitchens specialist Lincoln Jordan Interiors.
Next is the recently opened British Standard showroom from Plain English in trendy Hoxton. Showcasing lots of smart ways to style its DIY cabinets (read all about them here), it’s a riot of colour and as the cabinetry is only available online, it’s a great opportunity to see it in the flesh.
Whilst not opened yet, German Kitchens specialist and Hacker Kitchens supplier German Kitchens Uber have two new showrooms in the pipeline with one coming to Manchester and a second next to Marks and Spencer's flagship store in Cheshire.
Finally, with a more modern approach to kitchens comes Pedini‘s showroom in Battersea. Filled with working Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, alongside Domus tiles, it’s a great place to stock up on contemporary design ideas.
