With KBB Birmingham 2020 fast approaching, news has emerged that the UK’s largest industry gathering of kitchen, bedroom and bathroom brands is entering into a partnership with The Used Kitchen Company (TUKC).
The Used Kitchen Company (TUKC) is a valuable platform for selling used and ex-display kitchens from showrooms to homeowners.
The TUKC partnership will see the ex-display portal collaborate with the KBB Birmingham event organisers in order to encourage a more sustainable event – in turn helping exhibitors to sell their ex-displays ahead of the show.
It is anticipated that this sustainable focus will help brands make a valuable contribution towards recycling within the kitchen industry.
With the dragging on of Brexit, the slowdown in the high street and a general perceived level of reduced engagement of homeowners with big ticket purchase such as new kitchens, kitchen portals such as The Used Kitchen Exchange and The Used Kitchen Company offer a solution for kitchen companies to release the value in their ex-displays whilst giving homeowners a cheaper option.
When you consider that with atypical savings (on new) of 50% and upwards for a kitchen thats only been in a showroom and not really used, the savings can be considerable, particularly for German kitchen brands such as Schuller, Nobilia, Nolte, Pronorm and the like.
Looeeze Grossman, the founder and CEO of TUKC, said: “We are so excited to be joining forces with KBB Birmingham 2020 in what will be an exciting and truly unique experience. We aim to help make exhibition-recycling the norm rather than the exception and show it can be done in a way that is profitable to both manufacturers and consumers. I look forward to working closely with kitchen manufacturers and showrooms to facilitate the recycling of their displays, to help encourage a more sustainable culture within the kitchen industry.”
The director of KBB Birmingham, Mark Gordon, also added: “We are committed to achieving a sustainable show and having a positive environmental and social impact on the KBB sector, so this is a really encouraging step forward. We very much look forward to working with The Used Kitchen Company to maximise this exciting partnership for our exhibitors.”
