JJO plc, one of the UK’s biggest suppliers of kitchen, bedroom and bathroom furniture has announced that it has restarted deliveries this week.
JJO plc is a Lancashire based kitchen, bedroom and bathroom company that employs some 400 staff and manufactured some 600 furniture designs a week prior to the lockdown so news that it has once again fired up operations will obviously be a much needed welcome to many employees and customers alike.
Deliveries will be staggered start at first so as to allow time to confirm or amend pending orders that have remained dormant for the past six weeks during lockdown but the firm says that its manufacturing lead times are largely unchanged.
JJO plc Managing director, Stephen Greenhalgh said of the announcement: “We have an unchallenged reputation for supplying kitchen and bedroom furniture, complete from stock within as little as 48 hours."
"The combination of the uncertainty of Brexit and the subsequent threat of Covid-19 meant that we had acted quickly to acquire materials and component stocks. We are now ideally situated to supply from our £7M stock holding.”
Prior to lockdown JJO told the Kbb news sites that it had taken stringent measures to ensure the safeguarding of staff, including the separation of departments isolated within different sites and warehouse shift patterns.
Delivery drivers have also been further briefed on specific health and safety measures to protect the wellbeing of customers.
