In the latest Kbb news, Spanish work-surfaces giant Cosentino new London showroom opens in London’s Hatton Garden district and in doing so Cosentino City London joins Milan, New York, Sydney and Singapore with the opening of a UK flagship commercial design centre.
Regarded as the world leader in the production and distribution of innovative surfaces for architecture and design, the Cosentio Group has opened the doors to an impressive space located in Old Street, Clerkenwell. where it hopes to host architects and designers from across the UK.
Cosentino City London at 30 Old Street, Clerkenwell, London, EC1V 9QR is less than 2mins walk from Farringdon tube station for the new Elizabeth Line, or Chancery Lane for the Central Line.
Showroom manager, Diego Florio, says of the new space, “Cosentino City London goes beyond the idea of a ‘showroom’. It offers inspiration for anyone that visits, but overall we see it as a commercial design centre, where professionals can bring their clients, have meetings, and get excited about the possibilities. Product interaction is also key as it allows greater vision for potential projects.”
Cosentino City London is fitted with premium kitchen appliances from Miele, TV visuals using Sony and sound via Bose to create the perfect audio-visual set up for presentations.
In addition to offering a space for architects and designers from across the UK to visit with or without their end users of Cosentino surfaces (such as Silestone), Cosentino City London will also host regular cooking demonstrations, lectures and product launches.
We spoke to Michael McMorran of German Kitchens London, who is one such professional Cosentino City London is aimed at. With 25 years in the industry and a London Schuller and Hacker Kitchens focus, McMorran said, "Cosentino City London is a truly exciting addition to the residential and commercial design industry and for me, that it is only 5 tube stops from our Marble Arch location, is a win win as I can invite clients to see some truly innovative surfaces after showcasing our kitchens to them."

In addition to Kbb news about the new Cosentino London showroom, in other Cosentino news the company has maintained its double-digit growth rate and in 2022 in addition to a substantial investment of €197 million in growing its export market, which accounts for 90% of sales. The 22% increase in revenue took Cosentino to €1,711 million , whilst EBITDA grew by 13% to €312 million and net profit also increased by 13% to €117 million.
Cosentino continues to create stable quality employment via the creation of 426 new jobs and the company ended 2022 with a total of 5,851 employees.
