News has emerged that the British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom Installation (BiKBBI) has partnered with the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), the North American trade body and joined the NKBA Global Connect Alliance Programme.
News of the collaboration of BiKBBI and NKBA which Kitchens-Kitchens accepts, is only the beginning of an abundance of acronyms in this post, it nevertheless comes hot on the heels after it was announced that Britain's Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA) has also partnered with North American National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) on its Global Connect Alliance program.
With an uncertain Brexit future relationship with Europe, that the UK Kbb trade bodies are taking a more proactive approach to transatlantic and global trade is welcome news for UK based Kbb manufacturers and exporters.
These high level international strategic collaborations connect Kbb associations and organisations serving the kitchen and bath marketplace to encourage a global exchange of current and forward-thinking insights and information.
Damian Walters, CEO of the BiKBBI, comments: ‘We had the pleasure of being involved with last year’s NKBA Global Connect Conference and it was a huge success.
‘When we were approached to partner again, it was an obvious decision as it allows us to network with similar organisations and partners across the world.’
BMA CEO, Tom Reynolds said “We had a hugely successful collaboration with the NKBA at our conference last year, which saw the NKBA Global Connect Conference take place the day before our own event at Carden Park. So when we were approached with the opportunity to continue the partnership we didn’t hesitate.”
Inaugural NKBA Global Connect Alliance members also include: the Association of German Kitchen Manufacturers, the Bathroom Manufacturers Association and the Association of the German Furniture Industry
Together, these associations and organisations will collaborate with the NKBA to offer omni-directional support to North American NKBA Global Connect brands wishing to expand their international presence, as well as supporting the NKBA Global Connect Subscription programme with their member companies.
‘We are really excited to welcome these four fabulous associations to our NKBA Global Connect Alliance program,’ said Suzie Williford, EVP and Chief Strategy Officer of NKBA. ‘We have already built a solid relationship with each and are very much looking forward to continuing to grow the kitchen and bath marketplace worldwide with these excellent partners. We all have much to gain by collaborating with friends and colleagues who have a deep understanding of their constituents and individual markets.’
