The Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA) has announced that prominent motivational speaker and former Royal Air Force pilot Joanna Mary Salter MBE will deliver a keynote address on 'The Growth Mindset' at the upcoming BMA’s Annual Conference.
The Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA) Annual Conference, scheduled for 16th and 17th September at the Queens Hotel in Leeds, will this year focus on ‘building growth’ as its theme.
The annual event sees BMA members and non members attend thought-provoking keynote talks, panel discussions, and networking opportunities centred around the annual theme.
Attendees of the BMA’s Annual Conference can expect to gain valuable contacts, insights and strategies to assist them driving their businesses forward in the bathroom industry amid a difficult trading climate for the wider Kbb sector.

Having joined the Royal Air Force at the age of 18 Jo Salter had the intention of becoming an engineering officer but she went on to train as a pilot after the government announced that women would be allowed to fly jet aircraft in 1992. She was Britain's first female fast jet pilot flying the Panavia Tornado ground attack aircraft with 617 Squadron in 1994. Jo is a passionate Trustee of The Royal Air Force Club and an Ambassador of the Global Angels charity and was named as one of the 50 Most Inspiring Women in the World by Harpers & Queen.
An additional speech will come from Mohammed Chaudhri, Experian’s Chief Economist and Director of Market Intelligence with over a decade of forecasting the UK economy and credit markets. his speech is titled The Economic Outlook – Is growth realistic?
A Panel Discussion on The Big Debate: What can we do to get Britain building, and what is our role? will be followed by a keynote speech from Oliver Heath on 'The Future of Building'.
Oliver Heath is an industry-recognised expert in biophilic design, sustainable architectural and interior design, who creates human-centred spaces that benefit occupant wellbeing through a heightened connection to nature.
Oliver’s design practice, Oliver Heath Design, is industry-leading in the field of sustainable design, using research-led insights to implement biophilic design across all building types.
Since 1998, Oliver has worked as a designer and presenter on numerous television and radio programmes for the likes of the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Discovery Channel, and Norway’s TV2.
As usual, a black tie gala dinner will close off the annual BMA’s Annual Conference event.
