Respected German kitchen brand Häcker Küchen GmbH ended 2023, after yet another year of growth and consolidation of its market share, amid wider Kbb turmoil and challenging trading conditions.
Its fair to say that in the UK, Hacker kitchens dont get the widespread recognition that the likes of Nobilia, Nolte and Schuller do. But then again, we suspect those at the family owned Häcker Küchen GmbH wouldn't necessarily be disappointed by that.
Hacker has sought to, and succeed, to position itself as a premium german kitchen brand and if you look at the biggest german kitchen brands over the last 10 years, Hacker has been one of, if not the most robust, given its in-house approach and reluctance to dilute its brand via aggressive sales channel growth and franchising.

For 2023 the landscape for the top German kitchen brands saw some changes and as ranked by their 2022 revenues, they are:
- Nobilia with €1.482bn in revenue
- Hacker with €786m in revenue
- Schuller with €753m in revenue
- Nolte with €717m in revenue
- Baumann Group (inc Bauformat) with €303m in revenue
- Bulthaup with €190m in revenue
- Leicht with €180m
- Siematic with €175m in revenue
- Poggenpohl with €74m in revenue for 2019
- Alno Group (no longer trading)
In 2023, not only did Häcker Küchen GmbH generate €786m in revenue, its export share remained stable at a very respectable 40%. The business also extended its international trade activities and in doing so had a successful attendance at the world’s leading industrial trade fair Hausmesse, in addition to exhibiting at North America's largest Kbb show, KBIS in Las Vegas.
Häcker has made no secret about its focus to extend its international trade activities and in some ways to achieving this Hacker closed out 2023 by opening its North American HQ and 350sq m showroom in Miami.
This year, Häcker plans to exhibit at the only kitchen focused trade show in Europe, namely EuroCucina which takes place, bi-annualy in Milan where than 100 companies demonstrate their latest kitchen solutions and achievements
Häcker Küchen GmbH has also confirmed that at this year's Hausmesse it will present innovations in its popular 'systemat' range to provide trade and end customers with new solutions.
Pushing out its portfolio, just as the likes of Schuller, Nolte and Nobilahave, Hacker has extended its product portfolio to feature configurable wardrobes, sideboards and lowboards, thus helping homeowners and interior designers to build customisable living-room designs.
